This former Ranger’s residence is so named in honour of Major R.J. Black, a very influential Scout Master and Brant District Commissioner who was a driving force behind the early days of Scouting in Brant.
This open concept chalet contains a main floor kitchen, dining area, sleeping room, 3 pc bathroom and leisure area. There is an upper loft lounge area and sleeping room with an ensuite bath and shower. There are no bunks provided, but there are some mats. The basement has an open area ideal for training & games as well as extra sleeping quarters with a walkout exit door. The kitchen has modern appliances with microwave and 18L water cooler for your bottles.
Black’s Cabin is electrically heated and also has a wood burning fireplace with accessible firewood in the outdoor wood box.
